I've always felt like the books gave Slytherin a really terrible rap. Dumbledore seems to feel that all Slytherins are evil, and so in turn do Harry, Ron, and most of the other students. But it's hardly fair to lump a bunch of kids under the "dark wizard" label just for being clever and ambitious.
